Workshops/seminars and guest lectures by
academicians/artists and national celebrities are a
regular feature at the institute (as detailed
elsewhere). Several eminent professors and art
professionals have been visiting IIFA and conducting
interactive and proactive workshops |

| A) Prof. Patricia Sumner
and Prof. Lorna Bircham from the University of the Arts
London have been conducting annual workshops on Fashion
and Design for students of IIFA. |

B) Other visitors from the University of the
Arts, London included Mr. Colin Kerrigan, a
senior academician who gave valuable
suggestions on improving academic excellence in
keeping with global standards.
|
C) IIFA and the University of the Arts
London have agreed upon exchange of
students, staff and graduate interns. Under
this mutually beneficial programme, two
interns, Mr. Guy Austin and Ms. Jenny
Cooper, visited IIFA for a six week period
in February 2008. IFA students gained
immensely from their lectures and workshops.
Two more interns from the University of the
Arts London will be visiting IFA later this
year.
D) Prof. Robert Ely, President and CEO,
LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore gave
a very motivating talk on ‘Creativity’ to
IIFA students.
E) VISIT BY MS. VIRGINIA IBBOT - TATE
MUSEUM, LONDON.
Ms.Virginia Ibbot of the famous TATE MUSEUM
(Tate is one of the oldest museums in the
world having the largest collection of
British Art) visited IIFA. She was very
impressed with the Institute's academic
quality and enriched the students with her
opinion and suggestions.
IIFA has been organizing annual displays of
contemporary Indian Art at the Tate Britain
for the past few years.

F) MR. JOHN BLOXHAM OF
BLOXHAM ART GALLERY, LONDON, visited IIFA and was very
impressed with the students’ works of art. To encourage
and promote their talent, he selected 27 works for an
exhibition in London.

G) MR. RICHARD ALFORD, Secretary of CHARLES
WALLACE INDIA TRUST, U.K., also visited IIFA
and went through the infrastructural facilities
and interacted with the students and faculty.
He too, appreciated academic works executed by
the students.
H) A workshop was held by MR. MASAMI YAMADA AND
MRS. MAMI YAMADA, well known and senior artists
from Tokyo, Japan at IFA.
I) THE LORD MACKENZIE OF FRAMWELLGATE, Patron
of IIFA and MR. BRIAN HEALY from London visited
IIFA and were full of praise for the institute.
They appreciated the efforts of the staff and
students and offered their support towards the
growth and development of IIFA. |
